Erfurt
Joji Hattori has just been appointed Principal Resident Conductor
of the Opera Erfurt, Germany. He will take up his post at the beginning
of the 2007/8 season.
Wiener
KammerOrchester
Founded in 1946, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is Vienna’s
leading chamber ensemble and over the years has attained recognition
as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. With Heinrich
Schiff as Principal Conductor and Joji Hattori as Associate Conductor,
the orchestra continues its tradition for collaboration with artists
in the dual role of conductor and soloist such as Lord Menuhin,
Heinz Holliger and its lifetime honorary conductor Philippe Entremont.
Tokyo
Ensemble
Founded by the conductor and violinist Joji Hattori in 200,1 the
Tokyo Ensemble is a chamber orchestra consisting of leading Japanese
string players, with additional wind players according to the program.
Performances of the Ensemble feature both chamber orchestra as well
as chamber music repertoire.
Yehudi
Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists
The Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists
is a biennial competition for violin open to participants of all
nationalities and comprising two age groups: Juniors (up to 15 years
of age) and Seniors (16 to 21 years of age). Joji Hattori is the
Artistic Director of the competition.
Lauenen
Chamber Concerts
Joji Hattori is the Artistic Director of the Lauenen Chamber Concert
series. His aim is "to bring together a small number of top
international chamber musicians to perform in Lauenen's cosy chapel
to an audience whose sensitivity for absorbing beautiful music will
be enhanced by the natural beauty of the surroundings."

Joji Hattori has initiated this project, whereby the building, no.7
Exton Street, will serve the artistic community in London as a rentable
venue for rehearsals, meetings, exhibitions, performances etc. as
well as private functions.
Hattori
Foundation
The Hattori Foundation was established as an Educational Trust by
the Hattori Family and granted charity status in 1992. The aim of
the Foundation in the field of music is to encourage and assist
exceptionally talented young instrumental soloists or chamber ensembles
who are British Nationals or resident in the UK and whose talent
and achievements give promise of an international career.

Joji Hattori is Visiting professor of violin at the Royal Academy
of Music, London.
