Wiener KammerOrchester
Joji Hattori is Associate Conductor of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. Founded in 1946, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is Vienna’s leading chamber orchestra and over the years has attained recognition as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. The orchestra continues its tradition for collaboration with artists in the dual role of conductor and soloist such as Lord Menuhin, Heinz Holliger and its lifetime Honorary Conductor Philippe Entremont.
Tokyo Ensemble
Joji Hattori is Artistic Director of the Tokyo Ensemble which is a chamber orchestra consisting of leading Japanese string players and with additional wind players if the programme requires. Performances of the Ensemble feature both chamber orchestra as well as chamber music repertoire.
Sommer-Festival Schloss Kittsee
An open-air operetta festival at the Austrian-Slovakian border only 35 minutes drive from Vienna, it takes place every summer under the musical direction of Joji Hattori in collaboration with the Austrian director Gerhard Ernst.
Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists
The Menuhin Competition takes place every two years at a different location and is considered to be the most important international competition for young violinists. It also includes a major violin festival featuring all jury members as performers and provides an educational forum to all participants and visiting musicians. Joji Hattori, winner of this event in 1989, is now President of this exciting Competition-Festival.
Lauenen Chamber Concerts
Joji Hattori is Artistic Director of the Lauenen Chamber Concert series. His aim is "to bring together a small number of top international chamber musicians to perform in Lauenen's cosy chapel to an audience whose sensitivity for absorbing beautiful music will be enhanced by the natural beauty of the surroundings."

Joji Hattori has initiated this non-profit project, whereby the building, no.7 Exton Street in London (Southbank), serves its artistic community as an affordable venue for rehearsals, meetings, exhibitions, performances etc. as well as private functions.
Hattori Foundation
The Hattori Foundation for Music and the Arts was established as an educational trust by the Hattori Family and granted charity status in 1992. The aim of the Foundation in the field of music is to encourage and assist exceptionally talented young instrumentalists and chamber ensembles who are based in the UK.
